Welcome to Fuertsch.com

This site was originally created to share special events, photos, and life interests with the immediate family and friends. Since first publishing, other Fuertsch’s from around the world and old friends have reached out and the site continues to expand to include them as well. I have also expanded Fuertsch.com as to serve as a place to store information that I want to recall at a later date and a place to share details, experience, or potentially useful information with others with similar interests.

If you are a Fuertsch and have photos or content that you would like to share here, just contact me and I’ll do my best to share your content as well. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy.

The Family Page hosts special event for all of my immediate and extended families, included horse shows, sporting events, vacation, anniversaries, and more.  It has been interesting to see the number of old friends and other Fuertsch’s that have reached out to contact us through Fuertsch.com.

As an example, Gabrielle and Peter Fürtsch from Saxonia Germany found us through searching the Internet and locating us here at Fuertsch.com. With this new revision of Fuertsch.com, I am adding Family pages for Gabrielle and Pete, and I’m hopeful that I will be able to provide pages for other Fuertsch’s as well.

If you are interested in this, please contact (Contact form coming soon) me and send some photos and I’ll happily create a new page on Fuertsch.com just for your.

Tetons Mountains and Snake River

My dad has shot with a Nikon F2 since I can remember, and he purchased a Nikon FE I for me when I was about 15 for Christmas. The photos below represent about three decades of travel and interest in photography. As photography and my life changed, I purchased other cameras, including an inexpensive point and shoot digital Olympus (since retired), a Canon PowerShot SD870 IS, and a Nikon D70, Nikon D7000, and Nikon Z50. Pictures below come from all of these cameras, including a handful of phone, and even the old and inexpensive Olympus digital produced some great shots.

See the Photography Page for additional photos.

The Projects Page contains notes, documents, and photos from projects across the years.  I maintain this page as a reference for myself and to possibly aid others that might be working on or thinking about a similar project. This page is segmented by project types as follows:

  • Automotive – General
  • Home Computing
  • Household
  • Land Cruisers
  • Others

Manti-La Sal

Red Canyon Design is an outgrowth of interest in design, metal work, and other disciplines, combined with a desire to achieve a higher degree of self-reliance in making and fixing things around me, household, automotive, and otherwise. This direction evolved further through an interest in higher precision, the influence of friends and mentors, and an interest in computer aided design and control. I have also enjoyed sketching and other untrained forms of art over the years, and together all of this has lead me here.

So why Red Canyon, well I have lived and enjoyed many areas of the world, and one area that holds a special place for me is the sandy and red canyons throughout the west and southwest, and a canyon in Wyoming by the name of Red Canyon. The above photo was taken in Moab, UT while biking, and it has been one of my favorite “Red Canyons” for years. So, Red Canyon Design it is.

Life is Interesting, so much so that I needed one last page to host those other “interests” that have not fallen neatly elsewhere.
